Who We Are

Our mission is to continue to find ways to bridge the gap that currently exists for the 1 in 5 children who will experience the death of someone close to them by the age of 18.

Education Is the Key
We believe in educating children about grief and
specialize in age-appropriate self-help grief workbooks for children and teenagers.

How It Started
The development of grief workbooks, testing, and donation programs have been self-financed by the creator, author, and cancer survivor Susan Binau. In 2019 she founded the Grief Heroes Foundation with her teenage son Andy Binau and partners.

Pilot Project
In 2020, we launched the Grief Heroes Program and donated Grief Heroes Kits to the children of Oklahoma City.
In collaboration with teachers and school counselors from 18 Elementary schools in the Putnam School district, the grief tools continue to make a difference.
